Check-in
Select your seat from 24 hours up to 60 minutes before you fly, print your own boarding pass and avoid the queue at the airport.
Or, if you prefer to check in at the airport, WestJet's smiling customer service agents are always happy to help you. We recommend that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your flight departure time. Check in closes strictly 30 minutes prior to departure.
Pre-boarding
Pre-boarding is provided for passengers travelling with small children, unaccompanied minors, and for passengers requiring extra assistance.

Checked Baggage Allowance
Luggage allowance is based on fare type:
- Economy fare: $30 for first checked bag, second bag $50-59
- Economy Flex fare: First checked bag free, second bag $50-59
- Premium/Premium Flex fare: two free checked bags, third/fourth bag charges apply
- Business/Business Flex fare: two free checked bags, third/fourth bag charges apply
WestJet accept bags up to 157cm (62 inches) in combined dimension (length + width + height) and 23kg in weight per bag.
Hand Baggage Allowance
Each passenger in a confirmed seat is allowed one piece of carry-on luggage and one personal item (briefcase, handbag or camera bag).
The carry-on item must be within 53cm (21 inches) in length by 38cm (15 inches) in width and 23cm (9 inches) in height.
The personal item must be within 41cm (16 inches) in length, by 33cm (13 inches) in width, by 15cm (6 inches) in height.
